It’s competition time again! The festive season is fast approaching and we're all chained to our benches, making like mad! Here at the guild, we've noticed that more and more jewellers are including Christmas decorations as part of their range of products and we'd love to see what you are all making. The next time that you're taking a tea break, spend a moment to send us an image of your best selling decoration with a short description and you could win our hamper of Christmas & jewellery goodies, assembled by the guild and our supplier partners.

Post an image of your Christmas decoration on our Facebook, Twitter or Community Pages with the hashtag #GoJDChristmasHamperComp and you could win the Christmas hamper!

In the hamper so far:

  • Christmas pudding (yay!)
  • GETiPol polishing compound
  • Head loupe
  • Dremel Versaflame
  • 3M finishing paper
  • mince pies
  • GETi laser engraving voucher
  • Titanium 3rd hand
  • digital caliper
  • safety specs
  • 2 x Australian Lightning Ridge crystal opals (courtesy of Brighton Gemstones)

  • Apple Stollen :)
  • A selection of stones including Amethysts, Turquoise, Emeralds, Labradorite, Garnets, Jasper, Quartz, Tiger Eye (courtesy of Berry Emporium & Sleeping Dragon Jewellery)

The Christmas decoration must have been designed and made by yourself and the competition is open to all GoJD members.

The closing date for this competition will be 8 December 2017. The winning entry will be chosen by Alan Hadley and Jayne Coulson from the five entries with the greatest number of ‘likes’ across the three platforms. The winner will be notified by email in the week following 8 December 2017.
