The Norfolk based jeweller and GoJD member, Victoria Constable, has received a business boost from TV Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis.

A few months ago, Victoria Constable, owner of Mila Jewellery tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.

Theo re‐tweeted Victoria’s message to his 230,000 followers and as a result, the business ( has around 800 more followers and extra orders for her designs in silver and gold. Mila Jewellery are also profiled on a new website ( that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Says Victoria: "I had seen the competition on Twitter and thought how amazing it would be to have my business chosen! Every Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm Theo asks small businesses to tweet him @TheoPaphitis and describe what it is they do in just one tweet, making sure they include the hashtag #SBS.

Theo then chooses his favourite six businesses who he then re-tweets to all his followers which is currently nearly a quarter of a million! I entered every Sunday with the hope that I would get a re-tweet - I even set reminders on my phone to ensure I didn't miss the all important time slot! Then came Sunday 11th September 2011. I had sent my tweet to Theo as usual and later that evening as I was dishing up a Sunday roast my phone started going crazy with messages! "It couldn't be....could it!?" I thought as I tried not to drop the roast potatoes in my hurry to check my phone!

And sure enough, I had a re-tweet from Theo Paphitis! Then for the next few hours my phone continued to beep with all the new messages and followers I was receiving! A total of 1045 tweets had been sent to Theo on that Sunday so I was very excited that mine had stood out enough to get noticed!

I’ve only been in business a short time, working from my studio at home in the Norfolk/Suffolk border and I have been looking to expand so I can take this full time. It is great to have support from Theo because it’s been tough trying to raise our profile and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are retweeted every week and then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Ryman Stationery, where Theo is the Chairman.
