The WaterhallWe are now inviting applications for The Guild of Jewellery Designers Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition from goldsmiths, silversmiths and jewellery designer/makers working in any materials.

This one day selling exhibition will be held in the Waterhall at the Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery on Saturday 23 November 2013.

Located in the heart of Birmingham city centre, the Waterhall is a prestigious self-contained space within the Museums and Art Gallery with its own private entrance. With its prime location and impressive aspect, the Waterhall is an ideal venue and location for our second exhibition and for exhibitors to showcase their jewellery designs.

Visitors to the first guild exhibition held in March 2013 commented on the exciting array of jewellery on display and the advantage of being able to meet with the jewellery makers themselves, hearing about their inspirations and work firsthand and sometimes taking the opportunity to discuss bespoke commissions.

We are aiming to present an outstanding array of contemporary jewellery to the public and plan to include one or two stands of work from graduating UK students. Jewellers will be chosen for their innovation, creativity and workmanship.

As a guild it is our intention to keep the stand costs to a minimum for exhibitors, whilst maintaining the highest standards of design integrity and workmanship for the visiting public. The stand fee for this event will be £70.

Exhibitors will also receive a free one year listing on the GoJD Designer Directory and Odissa (the guild's listings website) as well as a profile on the new GoJD exhibition website.
