Jinks McGrath, the acclaimed designer jeweller and author has just announced the dates for her 2012 course programme
Weekly classes and 2, 3 & 5 day workshop courses with Jinks run throughout the year and are held at the Streat Place Barn Jewellery Workshop located in the Sussex countryside. Courses are for all abilities and are limited to 5 students to allow for expert individual tuition.
Jinks' courses are suitable for the beginner and those already familiar with some jewellery making or enamelling skills. Beginners start with measuring, piercing, soldering, filing and polishing and classes for more advanced students cover techniques such as reticulation, surface finishes, stone setting, etching and lathe-work.
